Fantasy Football Injury Updates: A.J. Green, Jimmy Graham, Rob Gronkowski, more impact Week 12 start 'em, sit 'em calls

Several important pass-catchers, including A.J. Green, Jimmy Graham, Rob Gronkowski, Doug Baldwin, and Devin Funchess, figure to be "questionable" ahead of Week 12's Sunday games, causing plenty of start 'em, sit 'em drama for fantasy football owners. Injury updates are more crucial than ever as we get closer to the fantasy playoffs, so let's stop wasting time and get right to the latest news.

We'll continue to provide updates on all the major injuries around the league. For more on injured QBs Joe Flacco and Marcus Mariota, go here. Follow us on Twitter (@SN_Fantasy) for more advice and updates.

Is A.J. Green playing in Week 12?

A toe injury has kept Green on the sidelines since late in Week 8, and after being listed as "doubtful" last week, it was believed he would be able to return this Sunday against the Browns. However, he's yet to practice and could once again come down to a game-time decision.

If Green is able to go, it would be almost impossible to sit him against a mediocre Browns defense. If he's out, Tyler Boyd will continue to be a borderline WR1 and John Ross will be in the mix as a boom-or-bust WR3. Green's presence will limit the upside of Ross, but he's still a candidate to catch a long touchdown, especially if Green is slowed or used more as a decoy.

Is Jimmy Graham playing Sunday night?

Graham was expected to miss four-to-six weeks after breaking a thumb last week, but Packers coach Mike McCarthy said earlier this week that Graham might try to play through the injury. He reportedly practiced with his thumb heavily wrapped on Thursday, and he still seems intent on playing Sunday night against Minnesota.

The fact Green Bay plays on Sunday night will make it tough for Graham owners to trust him, as they'll likely need a backup from one of the prime-time games (Jordan Thomas? Jonnu Smith) just in case Graham can't go. Even if he is active, it's tough to imagine him being a big factor given the limitations his broken thumb could present and the fairly difficult matchup. It's likely best to give Graham at least a week before using him in fantasy lineups.

Rob Gronkowski injury update

Gronk has had over two weeks to rest to his injured back, and he returned to limited practice on Wednesday and is expected to suit up on Sunday against the Jets.

Gronk might not be a "must-start" anymore, but given Travis Kelce's bye and Jimmy Graham's injury, he's still among our top-10 TEs this week and is a worthwhile option against the Jets.

Doug Baldwin injury news

Baldwin (groin) hasn't practiced all week and is in danger of missing Sunday's game against Carolina.

Baldwin hasn't done much this year, but he was looking healthier in recent weeks and is coming off his best game. If he's out, David Moore would get a bump in the rankings and land on the FLEX bubble, and Tyler Lockett would remain a solid WR2.

Is Devin Funchess playing in Week 12?

A back injury has kept Funchess out of practice all week, and it's looking less likely that he'll be able to go against Seattle.

Funchess has been a major disappointment this year, and it seems as if Greg Olsen and D.J. Moore (as well as Christian McCaffrey) are ahead of him in the passing game. Even if he is active, he's a risky start.
