Projected Week 11 DraftKings ownership percentage, NFL DFS advice

The DraftKings Week 11 featured slate closes out with another highly stacked game -- again in the Superdome. As with Michael Thomas pulling out the cell phone or Todd Gurley sliding before the goal line in Los Angeles, there may be another exhilarating swing at the top of leaderboards in NFL DFS tournaments. Lineup diversification should also play a major factor in the daily fantasy football entries still hanging in there as the 4:25 p.m. ET Eagles-Saints matchup hits its final stretch.

With the aid of UFCollective DraftKings ownership projections, I'll parse trends affecting roster rates in large GPP/tournament fields.

Week 11 Rankings:
Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST | Kicker

NFL Week 11 DFS Ownership: Quarterback

Drew Brees ($6,500) and Carson Wentz ($6,300) could both hit double-digit ownership due to Superdome stacks. UFCollective projects Brees as the frontrunner for top chalk at quarterback, so you would do well to complement Saints stacks with contrarian plays.

Andrew Luck ($5,900) and Marcus Mariota ($5,500) present cheaper keystones for an alternative to what should be the more popular Eagles-Saints stack. If you're betting on the over at that other dome in Indy, then you could build a less costly game stack of players with comparable market shares.

NFL Week 11 DFS Ownership: Running Back

Alvin Kamara ($8,200) in the Superdome with a one-score spread? Yeah, you can book that for chalk. ... It was will be interesting to see if Melvin Gordon ($8,900) manages to top 20-percent owned after assuming the perch as most expensive play on slate. ... Seems that James Conner ($7,200) can no longer fly under the radar regardless of matchup, as he's priced at well under $8K.

Kerryon Johnson ($5,800) likely gets the fade for playing RB on a squad struggling like the Lions have recently, though it's worth noting he ranks second among backs in targets over the past three weeks. ...  Josh Adams ($3,300) probably won't sniff double-digit roster rate and makes for a YOLO cap-saving swing after indications his workload would increase.

NFL Week 11 DFS Ownership: Wide Receiver

Michael Thomas ($8,800) completes the rather chalky Saints trifecta. If it goes off, you'll want on that train but — again — with a couple low-owned smashes to surface above the pack in tournaments/GPPs. ... Odell Beckham ($8400) is getting elite elite volume in perhaps the league's best WR matchup, and at $400 of Thomas could leap him in roster rate.

Antonio Brown ($7,800) seems like an automatic slam when the looming matchup isn't Jalen Ramsey — and maybe also when he's seeing Ramsey. It should offer good polling on how much DK users value tougher CB matchups in tournaments, though with some noise since Ramsey and the whole Jags defense is going through a rough patch. Perhaps this matchup even pushes more shares to JuJu Smith Schuster ($6,800) in the slot.

NFL Week 11 DFS Ownership: Tight End

Reeling in 14 catches the week prior will get people on board, and Zach Ertz ($6,600) could be near quarter-owned on a Kelce- and Kittle-free slate. He'll be targeted for a combo of floor and upside amongst the TE wasteland.

Jared Cook ($3,900) has creeped into the $5Ks earlier this season and topped 30 DK multiple times, but it should be hands off Raiders in large fields...  Jordan Reed ($3,800) could pay off if home-dog Washington falls behind, as Houston presents a tough slot matchup with Kareem Jackson and the outside WR situation is dire.
