Week 12 Perfect DraftKings Lineup and Week 13 NFL DFS tips

The Week 12 DraftKings perfect lineup might be the strangest yet. Two WRs from the same team, but not the QB? No team stack except for multiple WRs? A mediocre QB from a bad team against a good pass defense? A tight end who had zero targets the previous week? Yes, yes, yes, and yes. Sometimes even the most sound NFL DFS strategy can give way to weekly randomness, and this appears to be one of those weeks. Don't let that cloud your judgment too much when making your Week 13 daily fantasy football picks, but keep in mind not every pick has to involve players on hot streaks or players in great matchups, especially in GPP tournaments.

Some things made sense this week -- namely, the RBs. As is often the case, high-priced "safe" RBs paid off while the WR position had more randomness. In DraftKings, where players get a full point per reception, guys like Christian McCaffrey and Saquon Barkley can come through in any matchup and should always be high on your list of options.

NFL DFS: DraftKings Perfect Lineup for Week 12

Josh Allen, QB, Bills

Every once and a while, we get an outlier QB with no correlating pass-catcher in the perfect lineup. Allen is that guy this week -- and that's even after losing his three-point 100-yard rushing bonus because of two late-game kneel downs. Still, Allen did enough at his rock-bottom price to find his way into the perfect lineup. This is the second time this season he's turned in a big performance against a tough defense (@ Minnesota in Week 3), so obviously he has some GPP upside, but this was a total shocker. Jacksonville's once-feared defense clearly isn't as scary as it used to be.

Christian McCaffrey, RB, Panthers

It's tough to imagine a better DraftKings day for an RB. McCaffrey went over 100 yards on the ground and through the air (hello bonus points), notched 11 receptions (hello full-point PPR), and scored twice. It was a bit surprising he was able to accomplish all of this against the Seahawks, but McCaffrey has proven he can beast against anyone, making him a great cash and GPP play in any given week.

Saquon Barkley, RB, Giants

For the second straight week, Barkley is in the perfect lineup. Like McCaffrey, he scored on the ground and through the air, and he racked up a bunch of receptions (7) and over 100 yards on the ground. Also like McCaffrey, he did it against a tough opponent (Eagles). Barkley is a candidate to show up in this article every week, so he should also be in at least one of your DFS lineups every week

WEEK 13 DFS CASH LINEUPS: Yahoo | FanDuel | DraftKings

David Moore, WR, Seahawks

Moore followed up a three-game scoring streak with a three-game scoreless streak, but he snapped that in a big way in Week 12, posting a career-high 103 yards and a TD. Moore obviously has GPP upside, but as long as Doug Baldwin is healthy and Tyler Lockett continues operating as Seattle's top receiving option, it's tough to expect much from Moore in Seattle's ground-heavy attack. In a relatively mediocre matchup like last week's tilt in Carolina, it's unlikely Moore was in many DFS lineups.

Tyler Lockett, WR, Seahawks

The real shock here isn't that Lockett also made the perfect lineup along with Moore -- it's that Russell Wilson wasn't the QB. Regardless, Lockett's breakout season continued with another touchdown and his first 100-yard game. Lockett isn't racking up the catches (no more than five in a game this season), but he makes up for that with efficiency, catching all but 10 targets all season. Formerly known for his big plays, the fact he only has one 100-yard game this season shows he could still have some monster performances in him.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, WR, Steelers

Anytime a player gets a 90-plus-yard TD, he's probably going to wind up in the perfect lineup. Smith-Schuster has done this twice in his career already, which just shows his upside in any given week. A high floor and a high ceiling? Yeah, that's the kind of player you want in DFS, regardless of the price tag or matchup.

WEEK 13 DFS GPP LINEUPS: Yahoo | FanDuel | DraftKings

Eric Ebron, TE, Colts

Lions fans and former Ebron owners are probably going blind from rolling their eyes, but the former first-round pick continued producing with another two-TD outburst in Week 12. What's interesting about Ebron is that he didn't even see a target last week, so it wouldn't be a surprise if he was lightly owned in DFS, especially given Jack Doyle's recent rise. But obviously Ebron is a high-upside option in any given week, as few TEs can match his TD potential.

Kenyan Drake, FLEX, Dolphins

A matchup against the Colts profiled as more of a "Drake game" than a "Gore game" given the high amount of receptions to RBs that Indy allows, but Drake scored on the ground and through the air, totaling five receptions for 64 yards. He ran six fewer times for 35 fewer yards than Frank Gore, but given Drake's "afterthought" pricing, he still more than exceeded value. Regardless of his role, Drake his big-play ability and GPP upside.

Ravens D/ST

Baltimore's D/ST continues to a great front-running unit, dominating in favorable matchups and disappearing in unfavorable or mediocre ones. That's fine for DFS where you can pick and choose as you please. The lesson here might be to play D/STs against teams with more incentive to lose late in the season, especially when those teams are on the road.
