With the slate of majors concluded and the FedEx Cup playoffs on the horizon, the PGA Tour schedule continues with the Wyndham Championship to kick off August, the final month for 2019 tournaments.

The Wyndham Championship will take place in Greensboro, N.C., at Sedgefield Country Club, which has been the host course since 2008. Brandt Snedeker is the defending champion, in part due to his first-round 59 last year. It was the 10th-ever sub-60 round in PGA Tour history.

For many golfers, this is their last chance to qualify for the FedExCup Playoffs. The top 125 golfers in the points standings will get the chance to play in The Northern Trust next weekend.

Only nine of the current top 30 in the FedExCup standings are in the field this weekend, but several golfers on the bubble of qualifying for the playoffs will be teeing off at Sedgefield in the hope that a strong four days will be the boost they need.

Shane Lowry will be playing for the first time since winning The Open Championship two weeks ago. Brooks Koepka will not be in the field. He won last week's WGC-Fed Ex St. Jude Invitational, which helped shake the stigma around him that he only performs in majors.

Below is all of the information — from tee times to the winner's payout — for the Wyndham Championship, which will have major FedEx Cup implications.

Wyndham Championship 2019 TV schedule, live stream

The Wyndham Championship employs a similar TV schedule to many other PGA Tour events, with Golf Channel exclusively broadcasting the first two days before it splits coverage with CBS on Saturday and Sunday. You can also stream the Wyndham Championship on fuboTV, which offers a free seven-day trial.

Who else is in the Wyndham Championship field?

Paul Casey (No. 8) is the only golfer in the top 10 of the FedExCup standings participating this weekend. Other members of the field with secured spots in the first tournament of the playoffs next week include Webb Simpson (No. 13), Chez Reavie (No. 14), Charles Howell III (No. 17) and Sungjae Im (No. 26).

Abraham Ancer  (No. 65) and Jordan Spieth (No. 67) are among the notable names that are closer to the middle of the standings and barely meet the qualifications for the BMW Championship — which takes place in two weeks — at the moment.

There is a little bit more at stake for the likes of Aaron Wise (No. 120), Alex Noren (No. 125), Daniel Berger (No. 131) and Jason Dufner (No. 136), who all sit firmly on the bubble and could have their hopes of qualifying for the FedEx Cup playoffs determined by their performance at Sedgefield.

Tee times for Round 1, featured groups

Most of the big names in the tournament will be in the featured groups over the first two days, including the defending champion, Snedeker. You can view a full list of Round 1 tee times here.

Wyndham Championship purse, winnings

The Wyndham Championship carries a purse of $6,200,000. It's significantly less than the $9,250,000 purse for the first two FedEx Cup events, but the Wyndham's purse carries extra weight because of the potential playoff implications that come with it. The purse has seen a steady increase of $200,000 every year since 2015. The winner this weekend will get $1,116,000.

Odds to win the Wyndham Championship

Simpson, who is the top golfer in the field based off the World Golf Rankings, is the favorite to win over the weekend at +900. A couple of newly-pro golfers, Morikawa and Hovland, also have good odds for the victory. A couple of other intriguing names include defending champion Snedeker, who dominated the course last year, and Spieth, who is still looking for that elusive first victory of the year.

Golfer Odds
Webb Simpson +900
Collin Morikawa +1400
Hideki Matsuyama +1400
Jordan Spieth +1400
Brandt Snedeker +2200
Patrick Reed +2200
Paul Casey +2200
Viktor Hovland +2500
Billy Horschel +2800
Alex Noren +3300
Cameron Smith +3300

Wyndham Championship past winners

The Wyndham Championship has been played almost every year since 1938, when Sam Snead won the inaugural tournament. Snead went on to win seven more times in the future, making him the Wyndham's most successful golfer by a mile. Davis Love III, who most recently won in 2015, is the only other golfer to win the tournament more than twice, a group that Snedeker can join if he is able to repeat.
