The NBA announced Wednesday that the 2019-20 season will be suspended indefinitely following a coronavirus diagnosis of a Jazz player — reportedly Rudy Gobert. All games after the conclusion of Wednesday's schedule are postponed until further notice while the league tries to figure out what steps it should take next.

Here's a look at how players, coaches and team owners around the league reacted to the season being suspended.

Prior to the NBA's decision, Clippers guard Lou Williams urged the league to not take a halfhearted approach.

During the Hawks' game against the Knicks, Vince Carter checked in for Atlanta after the league had announced play would be suspended and knocked down a 3-pointer in the final seconds. Some speculated it could be the final points of his career, depending on how long it is before the season resumes.

Pelicans players reportedly refused to play their game vs. the Kings after the Gobert news because Courtney Kirkland, one of the referees for the game, was part of the officiating crew for Monday night's game between the Jazz and Raptors. The game was postponed.

Pelicans guard Lonzo Ball decided he wasn't going to let the postponement keep him from getting in a good workout.

Magic guard Evan Fournier tweeted that he spoke with Gobert by phone and suggested people remain calm.

Kevin Durant appeared to be confused about the whole situation, tweeting this head-scratching GIF.

Jamal Crawford and Jamal Murray both offered up prayers.

Former NBA player Sam Dekker was riled up and said he hopes these incidents will lead to more people treating the outbreak seriously.

Without a doubt, there was one word of the night: "Wow."

Players weren't the only ones to react. Mavericks owner Mark Cuban's visceral response to learning that the league was suspending the season was caught on camera during Wednesday's game with the Nuggets.

Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle addressed the media after his team's 113-97 victory over the Nuggets. He wasn't exactly concerned when he heard the league was suspending the season.
