Will Wilcox carded the first hole-in-one in 14 years at the par-3 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass on Friday during The Players Championship.

With the hole playing 137 yards, Wilcox hit a knock-down wedge that landed about 10 feet short of the pin and rolled into the middle of the cup. Wilcox, a 29-year-old Alabama native, leaped in celebration as the crowd went wild.

Miguel Angel Jimenez was the most recent to ace the island green par-3. He did it in 2002.

The hole-in-one moved Wilcox from 3 under, and teetering on the cut line, to 5 under and only six shots back.
