Dustin Johnson is annually one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour, but he still turned some heads when he crushed a 372-yard tee shot Thursday at the Players Championship.

The Herculean shot came on the par-5 ninth hole, which almost caused his ball to run through the fairway into the small river winding through the center of the hole.
Johnson started his day with five birdies and a bogey in his first six holes, but has since dropped two shots to fall to 1 under, eight shots back of leader Jason Day. (UPDATE: Johnson finished with a 2-under 70. He is tied for 41st place.)
