Lakers superstar Anthony Davis exited his team's Game 4 loss to the Suns on Sunday, and is expected to miss Game 5.

Following his injury in the game, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Davis is considered day to day after suffering a left groin strain. On Monday morning, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported Davis is "unlikely" to play in Game 5.

The Lakers take the court again 10 p.m. ET Tuesday for Game 5 of the first-round playoff series in Phoenix. Los Angeles fell to the Suns 100-92 on Sunday to even the series at two wins apiece. Game 6 is scheduled for Thursday. Game 7, should it be needed, is schedule for Saturday.

Davis exited Game 4 in the second quarter after driving for a layup. He seemed to land awkwardly on the court, and immediately went down grasping his upper thigh/groin area. He left the game and did not return out of halftime, with Kyle Kuzma coming on in replacement.

Davis was considered questionable for Game 4 with a knee sprain, but he said before the game there was "no chance" he would miss out the matchup.

Davis has suffered from injuries for the majority of the 2020-21 season, a contributing factor (along with LeBron James' own injuries) to LA earning the seventh seed in the Western Conference.
