Lakers forward LeBron James left Tuesday's win against the Warriors with a groin injury and did not return, setting off alarm bells for Lakers fans.

James fell to the floor in pain in the third quarter and could been seen mouthing to trainers that he "felt a pop" before heading to the locker room.

However, there is some good news for Los Angeles. Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports later reported the injury as a "slight groin strain" and added that it could have been much worse.

Lakers coach Luke Walton offered more details on James' injury to reporters after the game.

While Walton seems to think James will not be available Thursday against the Kings, the four-time MVP is not prepared to make a final decision just yet.

James has been one of the more durable players in the NBA since he came into the league. He entered Tuesday having played 156 consecutive games and has mostly stayed free of major injuries throughout his career.

"With me and injuries, I'm never too concerned. I was able to walk off under my own power," James said after the game.

Prior to the injury, James had scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in 21 minutes against Golden State. For the season, he is averaging 27.6 points, 8.2 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game.

The Lakers' double-digit lead started to slip away when James left, but they eventually recovered and took home a 127-101 victory.

"The narrative is that it's LeBron and the Lakers. Obviously we hope he's okay, but we've got a lot of good players," Lakers guard Josh Hart said after the game. "If he's down, we're ready to step up. None of us are scared of the spotlight."
