NBA Draft 2014: Sixers made serious effort to get No. 1 pick from Cavaliers

The Philadelphia 76ers really wanted Andrew Wiggins, and that showed in the offer they made to the Cleveland Cavaliers for the No. 1 pick. 

The Sixers, who have been hoarding draft picks, offered Nos. 3, 10 and 32 in exchange for the No. 1 pick.

And after all that effort, it appears the Sixers will come up short, as their desperation just might have woken up the Cavaliers and convinced them to spend their No. 1 pick on Andrew Wiggins or Jabari Parker.
