Brooklyn Nets center Kevin Garnett did not have the best finish to the 2013-14 season, so it wouldn't be all that surprising if he didn't want to end his career on that note.

The feeling within the Nets is that Garnett wants to play out the final year of his contract, which will pay him $12 million for 2014-15, Marc Stein of ESPN.com reports

"I think he wants to keep going," one source told Stein.

There is incentive for the Nets to bring back Garnett, because Paul Pierce, who is set to become a free agent, is more likely to return if Garnett is on the roster. Pierce is expected to have other suitors, though, Stein reports.
