The penultimate College Football Playoff rankings arrived Tuesday and, predictably, there were no changes among the top five teams..
Once again, the top five teams remained intact after a mostly uneventful weekend: No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 3 Clemson, No. 4 Ohio State and No. 5 Texas A&M. Florida, who remained steady as the second team out heading into Week 15, suffered a stunning upset against LSU, giving the Gators their second loss and likely ending any Playoff hopes they might have had. That said, they only fell one spot in the rankings, setting up the potential for a play-in upset over the Crimson Tide.
Iowa State (8-2) moved into the Gators' spot, setting up a potential scenario where the Cyclones sneak into the Playoff with losses by Clemson and Ohio State. The same could be said of 7-2 Oklahoma (No. 10), which would need a massive blowout over Iowa State to shoot up the rankings. And, if there was any chance the committee didn't respect Cincinnati, Tuesday's rankings proved it: The Bearcats fell another spot, having their former place taken by a two-loss Georgia.
Just one more week of drama before the final Playoff pairings are announced. With that, the penultimate CFP rankings:
