Five Utah State players injured in car wreck, some critically

Six people, including five Utah State football players, suffered injuries in a Friday afternoon car crash involving an SUV and tractor-trailer outside Salt Lake City, Fox 13 reported .

The five players were in the SUV with an unidentified woman when they halted at a stop sign on Highway 142. The driver, believing the intersection was a four-way stop, began driving after they stopped and was T-boned by a tractor-trailer coming down Highway 123. The intersection was only a two-way stop.

All six passengers in the SUV were injured, five critically. It is unclear who was driving the SUV. The names of the passengers and the extent of their injuries had not been released.

Some of the passengers in the car were airlifted to a nearby hospital.
