Notre Dame running back Greg Bryant will miss the first four games of the upcoming season due to a suspension, according to multiple reports.

247Sports was the first to report the news and said Bryant's suspension was due to a "violation of team rules." He'll miss games against Texas, Virginia, Georgia Tech and UMass. Overall, it won't be a huge loss for the Fighting Irish as Bryant was seen as the third-string back.

Bryant carried a lot of promise as a five-star recruit in the class of 2013. Despite the recent troubles, he's still expected to stay at Notre Dame.

In 12 games last season, Bryant rushed for 289 yards and three touchdowns on 54 attempts.
