Ohio State lands pair of elite defensive recruits

The commits keep coming for Urban Meyer.

Ohio State landed Cincinnati St. Xavier linebacker Justin Hilliard and Criten Derham Hall (St. Paul, Minnesota) defensive end Jashon Cornell on Wednesday. Hilliard is ranked as a five-star prospect by 247Sports.com. Cornell is ranked as a four-star defensive end on the same site.

Hilliard also had offers from Alabama, Iowa, Michigan and Notre Dame. Cornell has offers from Alabama, Arkansas and Florida.

Ohio State appears on the way to strengthening its defense. Four-star linebacker Nick Conner (Scioto High School, Dublin, Ohio) also is committed to the 2015 class, and incoming freshman Raekwon McMillan (Liberty County High School, Hinesvilla Ga.) was a five-star prospect in the 2014 class.
