According to multiple reports, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer dismissed defensive end Tracy Sprinkle from the football team.

Cleveland.com reports a team spokesman said that Sprinkle's status could be looked at again depending on the outcome of his legal issues. Sprinkle entered not guilty pleas to charges of rioting, failure to disperse, possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia Monday.

Sprinkle was arrested after an incident at the Grown & Sexy Lounge in Lorain, Ohio, on Friday night/early Saturday morning.

For those who like to criticize Meyer's track record with player behavior, this seems like a fair and adequate response.
