The Pittsburgh Steelers played the entire second half of their game against the Baltimore Ravens Sunday night without safety Troy Polamalu and linebacker Ryan Shazier, both of whom were injured in the first half.
Polamalu injured his left knee on the last play before the two-minute warning in the first half, after helping on a tackle of Justin Forsett; he had to hop off the field on his right leg without the left touching the ground. He returned after the two-minute warning, but was in sweats on the sidelines during the second half.
The rookie Shazier hurt his right ankle late in the first quarter and had to be helped off the field. He did not return. The severity of both players' injuries was not immediately known.
