Chelsea player stays in game despite being knocked unconscious by Arsenal goalie

Written By Troy Machir

The London derby between rivals Arsenal and Chelsea got just a bit heated on Sunday when Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina speared Chelsea midfielder Oscar in the first half.

When Ospina came out to play a contested ball, he gave up on his mission to clear the ball in favor of spearing Oscar into next week.

Despite being knocked unconscious, Oscar remained in the game for 30 minutes, which, is absolutely appalling considering the video clearly shows him in a state of unconsciousness.

In a halftime interview with Sky Sports, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho said Oscar was being transported to the hospital.
